:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

Guys,

Brought my own Harrison Cobra Body and Chassis home to Bundaberg on the weekend.:D :D :D after the allocated 16 week wait from order to delivery.

It is now on stands in the shed waiting for the first parts to be bolted on.

Hopefully the Darkside L76 power turns up this week too...:)

Pictures are in my gallery

Rebel1 03-25-2007 09:09 PM

Congratulations schipps, and an excellent choice of kit.

I'm waiting on word of my L76 but I'm not really expecting it till next week.

Did you buy a roller with all the suspension fitted?

Rebel1 03-25-2007 09:11 PM

OOps, just looked in ya gallery. No ya didn't buy a roller. :)

Now go buy some Por15 for all ya suspension bits and pieces. :D

hsv300 03-25-2007 09:12 PM

Glad yours is done now Warwick can start mine**) Saw yours last week looks good Schipps now for all the hard work to begin:CRY:

Rebel1 03-25-2007 09:20 PM

What rear end ratio did ya get Schipps?

sambo 03-25-2007 09:48 PM

Hang on hsv300... Warwick just got my deposit too! Looks like there will be a flood of Harrisons on the road in the coming months... or years. :)

hsv300 03-25-2007 09:53 PM

Yeh Sambo saw your name on Warwicks board last week just moved my name in front of yours :3DSMILE:

Rebel1 03-25-2007 09:56 PM

hsv300 so I spose Mal wood is gonna sell you a T56 also?

hsv300 03-25-2007 10:02 PM

No all ready got one:cool: But he did do the centre shift conversion for me:)

Rebel1 03-25-2007 10:10 PM

Thats gonna be a nice build mate. The 4.6 is nice in na form but heaps better with the blower.

Very bluddy nice

Cheers

sambo 03-25-2007 10:11 PM

Les, I'll be speaking to Mal Wood after seeing the prices on a new T56. I really like that braided remote bleeder and fluid line.

Rebel1 03-25-2007 10:21 PM

Yep Sambo, the T56 is a nice box and the internal t/o bearings are excellent now that they have been perfected.

The early t/o bearings had a habit of leaking after a while which means dropping the box.

Not fun in a cobra

What rear end ratios is Warrick recommending for his kits hsv300?.

sambo 03-25-2007 10:45 PM

Warwick told me to use 3.8 or something like that. I think from an engineering report point of view you need to maintain one of the final drive ratios offered by the manufacturer that your donor engine came from - at least down here in VIC.

hsv300 03-25-2007 10:48 PM

I am using a commodore (darkside) rear end so will probably run 3.9 or 4.11 That should give me 1700rpm at 100kmph or there abouts

Yes mate...not only is it rust preventative but looks like hi-gloss powder coat.

see here: http://www.ppc.au.com/

Hard to get in your area tho I think. You may have to call them.

Don't over prepare tho....by that I mean don't go to the trouble to bead/sand blast. Just machine wire brush to clean metal, wash with their marine clean, then 2 coats by brush. Brush marks wont show if you don't over brush.

Don't get it on your hands.....comes off only when you shed your skin.

Churchy 03-26-2007 01:22 AM

Por15

Schipps congrats on getting the beast home. It takes days to get the smile off your face..

I read the can when I was preparing the rear end, and it said.

"Don't get POR15 on your skin as only time will remove it"

And I thought Crap !! Turps can remove everything if you rub hard enough. Well I was wrong and POR15 is right. Ohh and it takes about 4 to 5 days to shed that amount of skin.

Blair 03-26-2007 01:29 AM

Well done Mate.

As most on here will tell you, it only gets better!

Wait till you drive the beast for the first time.
