Default Oran Park Sprints

We had a round of our sporting car club at oran Park on the week end.

PhilN, Karen, Margaret and Myself all had a run in our cobras.

Had a great day with some very respectable times.

Here are some pics, take note of Philns wheel lifting off the ground as he feeds in the power out of a turn. Awsome to see sitting behind him.

You can also see the Queen adding 25kgs of mud to the undercarridge, cold tyres can do that.

We had a ball can't wait till next time.

HI Peter,
Excellent, good to have another cobra to wrestle with.

We had a great time and we had a chance for all three of us to be together on the track.

The scruteneer on the day was, how can I say this, well he either needed a good r88t or a good sh&T. He picked me up for not having the right volume of oil catch can, in engines over 2 ltrs you need at least a 3 ltr catch can.

I too have upgraded my brakes, 365 x 38 with 6 piston APs on the front and 328 x 26 with 4 piston APs on the rear.

I think these will stop me.

Great pics, how do you find the ap's phil are you using the ap master cylinder as well? Do you have a shorter and firmer pedal with these. I was looking at upgrading to a similar system however using the 4 spot front and rear. What pads are you running. The set up looks great.

HI Kanga,
Not sure how they work as I haven't tried yet, a long story short the company who did these did not do a real good job of the brake lines and I have had to redo them.
I am running Tilton short series mastercylinders 3/4 for the rear and 5/8 for the front.

The pedal feels ok a bit longer in the stroke to what I have had so that should be better.

HSVREDSLED,
The Purple car is Margaret O'Dowds, it is actually one of the original Coca Cola cars. She is a member of the NSW Club but also owns BJs Shirts, you can contact her on bjstshirtmarg@bigpond.com.

Default What ever

Andrew,
You can paint it any colour you like, you will just need to get a beret , scarf and leather gloves when ever you take it out.

So Andrew,
the interior would need to match, yes? Bone maybe, but you'd have to sit on that...

From memory it is a turbo charged V8 too!

There is another Cobra that is purple that should be on the road soon too.

I think it is the Commodore colour.
