QLD Breakfast Meeting Changes

BREAKFAST MEETING CHANGES.

For some time we have had ongoing complaints about some of the aspects of our breakfast meetings.

* Poor Service

* Sub-standard quality of the meal.

* Meals too small.

* Poor value for money.

* Too early for people to get to meetings, if travelling any substantial distance.

* Lack of Parking.

* The club has outgrown the venue.

* Can't hear my lovely voice making club announcements, because you're outside the restaurant.
(o.k.....I made that one up....it's just something I imagine would stress people.....JOKING!)


So......Starting from the very next breakfast, i.e. 3rd.June ,
Please note the following changes;

Venue;


Sanctuary Cove Recreational Club,
( " Signatures" Restaurant ),
Sanctuary Cove.

You would normally drive right past this place as you are on the way to our current restaurant.

As you enter Sanctuary Cove, and take your normal left turn at the Security Hut/Roundanout, the very next turn on your right is the Recreation Club/Signatures Restaurant.

We will be posting a sign at that turn, but you can see the restaurant only a hundred metres or so, from our normal roadway.

NEW Starting Time
8-30 a.m.
NEW Menu.

We will now have a FULL BUFFET BREAKFAST....Including a choice of fruit juices,and fruit, all tea, and coffee, Sausages/hash browns/tomatoes/eggs/toast etc. etc....at a cost of $15-00 per head.

You may choose to not have a full breakfast, and smaller meals are available.



Note:

We had considered a number of venues, with a view to moving closer to Brisbane.

We understand there are a large number of Brisbane members, but we also have a large number from the middle and southern end of the Gold Coast, stretching down to over the border into N.S.W.

After talking to many of those members concerned, it was found that it wasn't so much where we had the breakfast, but rather the early start had made it difficult to get going so early.

We are hoping that the later start at 8-30 will be a help in keeping up the terrific numbers we've been getting.
It also makes the run after breakfast fit in a bit better, so that when the run finishes at , say, a Tavern or whatever, it's LUNCH time, and maybe more people might then stay on for a bit more "socializing".

After 13 or 14 years of going there, The choice of Sanctuary Cove still seems to be the best option, and the new venue with the MUCH better parking,better menu, larger restaurant, and beautiful surrounds will please everyone I'm sure.
