Default Blair's on the Road

Just heard that Blair's Cobra is now on the road

Passed with no problems and the inspection seemed to be just a formality.

He will be calling in tonight before his epic journey back up north.

WELL DONE BLAIR

Hey Michael,

Congratulations again mate.

It was pleasing to know your final step to get the Cobra
registered was uneventful.

That is one awesome Cobra you have there.

Hitting the streets around home was a blast & it was great
to be one of the first to ride in your pride & joy.

Imagine the boys in Blue being there right at the time we
gave her a boot full, there was no way in hell they were
ever going to turn around & catch us.

I can see why PCC raved about those gauges in your dash,
that is a great `look` at night.

One thing is for sure if anyone needs some motivation with
their build, all they need to do is grab a cruise in someone
else`s Cobra.

Hope you & Louise have a safe trip home.

Take care.

Regards

Nick

Nic, Blair has just left. He's doing more touring than Keith Urban

And yes the dials look even better at night time.

Once the boot lining is done I can see a hard top coming up

Sorry for the late reply, but I have been HOONING!

Thanks alot fellas.

1700 kms in one trip was the most fun I think I'll ever have. No problems at all. Fuel consumption was close enough to 10 litres per 100kms. Every Holden with a LS in it I passed in 2nd gear just to make sure they knew I was there.

Rained twice on me! Oil temperature dropped of the gauge in Gympie at 4:30 in the morning. Louise was not impressed how cold it was. She looked like an Eskimo. I did not notice the cold.

Only two speed cameras over the entire trip. Funny how both were within 100 kms of my place!

The actual inspection was relatively easy. The worry/stress was worse then inspection.

Thanks Demi for the use of your trailer, I was very worried that I was going to get booked infront of your place. Would have blamed you for inspiring me to hit 120 in second. Actually thanks to everyone! (Rebel1, PCC, Boxhead, Aussie Mike, Wazza, 400tt and everyone else I have forgotten). All the people I have met from the is forum are so nice it is amazing. I think the friendships may even be better then the Cars!

Peace

Good to see you both got back safely.

What was the issue with the oil temp?

How are your backs after such an epic trip?

Now what you have to do is search out another Cobra in the area for a real hoon around the traps

I'd bring mine up, but with no roof I'd be on my own with Jackie flying up!!!

Hope to catch up in November.
