Found an old Northern Territory rego label.
I wonder what the message on the back is supposed to mean:rolleyes:

It seems to be a drink driving message

as in kill for a beer?

Bryan Wilson 05-21-2007 05:58 PM

I asked around at work and a guy here says it's to do with cane toads he says there is a bounty on cane toads and when you hand in a dead toad they give you a can of beer.:JEKYLHYDE
Cheers,
Bryan

What's a rego label?

hogster 05-22-2007 01:17 AM

Territorians are different

We must speak in simple terms to a breed of people that swim with killer jellyfish and regularly wrestle crocodiles and man eating water buffalo.

We are different and take pride in being so. Just ask our Lord Mayor who is in court at the moment for spending council funds on a fridge, 'gift vouchers', accomodation, womens underwear, and a "Darth Vader Mask"

Perhaps we don't wanna be that different.

Swap a Cane Toad for a beer .... I'm out with my spotlight..

BMK 05-22-2007 03:42 AM

MaSnaka,

%/

The rego label of registration label is attached to our windscreen/front window. It is similiar to the decal that you attach to the corner of your tag.

We call your tags registration plates and/or number plates over here in Australia.

Mmm we speak funny....

acecob 05-23-2007 01:57 AM

No they speak Funny

BMK 05-23-2007 02:04 AM

I haven't been to HI. yet so I won't say anything..

You may run me out of town..**)

stephen low 05-26-2007 08:22 AM

Hey I've been jipped then. Was running over these blighters near Lake Cootharaba, that will test you, as I drove in in 1979, at no cost to the Government, just seemed like sport to me at the time!!!

We did play toad cricket during our sailing series. IE running around with a cricket bat and thrashing these pests when we found them! Far more nasty than the rabbits!

Perhaps we need to build a wall! PM N Gorring will do it for us!!

After "Crocodile Dundee" and the "Steve Irwin" I think we could convince anyone that we all have kangaroos in our back yard..:3DSMILE:

fastraxsg 05-27-2007 06:28 AM

Ah, Bernie, now you went and burst the bubble, I thought 'roos were everywhere.

and all we got in the US is the latest Hogzilla, one big momma of a wild pig, now that was a real HOG, today just 500-600 pounds of pork dogs and a stuffed head on a wall.

boxhead 06-02-2007 05:55 AM

The kids in Darwin dont have lemonade stalls.
I didnt see this on the news but my wife did.

Apparently the kids up Darwin way are catching cane toads and selling them to people for $1.00 each.
Sounds like a cheap way to buy you beer to me.
24 Toads for $24.00, swap em for a carton.

I can imagine the questions the prosecutor will ask ........

Tell me Lady Mayor, why did you want a Darth Vader Mask? .....

Lady Mayor, tell the court, do you drive a chev.? ....

I remind you Lady Mayor, you are under oath .... Do you know a Mike Murphy?, leader of the dark side? .....

BMK 06-02-2007 07:22 AM

Mmm Steve had everyone convinced that we Aussie's are all real wildlife ambassadors.

Yet our national icon the kangaroo that is on the tail of Qantas jets is also served in restaurants with vegetables.

richardferguson 06-02-2007 04:54 PM

Everybody loves roos

Even Daisy here fancies some roo. She's just doing a little prep work (ie cleaning roo guts off the cobra) following last year's one-on-one with the roo:CRY:
