I reckon I would go for some old Australian muscle. :D That's if I could find any nice examples for under $75k still.

spookypt 07-03-2007 04:41 PM

75k

I'd buy Ian Pretty's Race Cobra!!!!!! No question!! Got the tow rig and the trailer just need HIS car.....

Or

Build a race car with the help of a certain Ozvenom Character! This rego caper and QLD T'sport is a joke! You can't drive around my block without being targetted!

richardferguson 07-03-2007 05:01 PM

Yes Stiffy. Daytona definitely, but a few dollars more than $75K!
LS7 Daytona sounds like the right mix.

750hp 07-03-2007 07:14 PM

$16K - KTM Superduke
$3K - 125 Shifter cart
$”the rest” - 1960 Galaxie Starliner with a 600 cube big block, airbags, tubbed, 20” wheels, monster stereo.

Then you'd have to start dressing like Fonzie and learn to jive/rock & roll. :MECOOL:

Come to think of it... what's so bad about that?. :) :)

Dunno what they cost tho.

Agreed, you would still have enough left over for a real nice daily driver,

It seems that the Aerial Atom is the one to go for.

Do you think the QLD Cobra Club would let me park with them at Sanctuary Cove????

sambo 07-03-2007 10:07 PM

I wouldn't think so... they're not "complianced" for public roads yet. :)

Of course you can park with us Pete....but

You can't eat or drink with us. ;)

You'd have to go eat with the other natives.

Robert Logan from RFGT40 fame had the answer to the Ariel atom. Similiar power and set up like a scale F1 car...**)

Hell it could go I lost it in his back yard and just missed the pool stopping at his lounge doors...

Yes good fun under 75k and plenty of change

BigBlockRob 07-04-2007 01:22 AM

A supercharged Porsche 928 S4 GTS would do the biz I recokon. in Black. But I prefer open top touring anyday.

Beejay 07-04-2007 05:15 AM

I would like to do an Ultima, or maybe one of these.

I really like the retro look cars from the art deco era...

Here's a photo of my '37 convert and the '28 roadster.

The roadster...%/

Shelby GT or...

....a new GT500

Rob. Smith 07-06-2007 07:38 AM

I'm not overly rich but after owning my last car for 27 years from new. (1979 Datsun 200B SX ) I decided I needed a new car...so I bought a nissan 350Z Track. I'm like a kid in a toy shop. Big smiles each time I drive it. I am limited severely by the fact that I have only 3 points out of 12 on my licence. I leave home at 5:00 am to start at 6:30. The cops are on roster change at about that time so the 25 minute drive takes 15 It's not quite as exciting as the 70's technology at that speed but it's still fun. when the points grow back I can see some scary drives happening. BUT !! I really love the bragging rights when "non auto enthusiasts" ask why I drive such a nice car to work and not a cheap bomb and I say the Zed is my grocery getter and I've got something much better in the shed at home. . . the smile gets bigger ! ;)

Keep it in the family.

If I could afford it, I would get a XY GT HO.

They would be the toughest looking production car ever.

But as you know, I'm third in line after Anne and Todd for the keys..

http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...0/16830bmw.jpg

considering my car has the handling of the BMW and the power of the Cobra guess I have the best of both worlds, but 75k would buy a nice Porcshe
