Oi Mr. Spooky esquire sir, I dunno ifin you know but I'm unda the impression Harrisons are da same as RMC cept for the rear guard lip.

You know Don is right . Harrisons have that flare off the rear-guards that RMC's do not have. I have photos here that show stoneguards on Harrisons and they have to cover that extra lip to look/function correctly. The stoneguards actually kink back out to cover that raised lip. Would also make them more expensive to manufacture than say RMC ones.

Bugger Mate.

I've also been looking at stoneguard options. Been looking into stick-on black plastic material.

Les, I meant to ask, what is happening in 3 months time? Have you some news. :D

Rebel1 08-09-2007 06:36 PM

Craig, the revamp of my RMC should be finished by then ....chrissy at the latest.

Been a long and difficult haul. Interupted by a heap of stuff beyond my control.

Then I'll be looking at local RMC's with imported knock off wheels to see how well the wheels fit :).

Would be earlier if I didn't work 80 hour weeks and could find suitably qualified staff.

Cheers

Rebel1 08-09-2007 06:38 PM

Craig, meant to respond to your stone guard question.

I got mine from RMC if you're looking for stainless ones.

Cheers

Sounds great, would be fantastic to park our cars next to each other at a breakfast meeting etc soon. :D

Thanks, yeah, I guessed RMC had stainless ones, been toying with the idea of black textured stick-on though. Want to go for a more vintage race look. Might be a stupid idea. :)

Spook, but you would wanna get paid at private scule :) rates.

Besides...I suspect all my geriatric lady clients would fall in love with ya and that would cause all manner of problems. ;)

They've got enough problems as it is without adding to them. :D

spookypt 08-09-2007 07:09 PM

Every job has its perks Uncle Les!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Craig, black stick on????? Where'd ya source it from???

Not stupid at all Craig, knowing the look you want to achieve.

What about alloy versions of the stainless, but get them anodized black?.

That would give you the protection of metal and could be redone when they get badly chipped.

Cheers

Hadn't thought of that. I like the way your thinking. Would give me the sort of finish I am chasing as well. I was also thinking brushed stainless, powdercoated etc

Yeah, I've tracked down some suitable textured stick-on material which I reckon will look great. Now just got to find a source. :)

Thanks mate, I have a few more options now.

spookypt 08-09-2007 07:36 PM

C'mon Craig e..... Who's ya source? :-)

Any competent panel beater should fabricate a set.

I replicated a right hand in aluminium as it was damaged.

My sample was the LHS and my Cobra is RMC Series 3.:MECOOL:

They are not available. The guy in WA has the buck for them but it would take too much work and time and money to roll them he told me. I had some excellent spats made up for $150 locally. They are edged and backed to not damage the pain and fit perfectly and attach to the hood posts (double post on each side). See earlier thread on Spats for other info.
