Les \Sideshow,

im curious about the O2 sensors. From what I an see the L76 ran 2 sets, pre and post cats? Are they both really needed, especially as I cant see how you would install them after cats IF you have them in side pipes ;)

Cheers

I think they are part of the Euro 3 requirements so depends on your engineer. I'm told, but will stand corrected, that the sole post O2 function is to advise when the cats are stuffed and require replacement.

You can turn off the rear o2's in the tune.

it just brings an an error code if anyhting is wrong with cats

if the rear o2 reads diff to the front o2 within a range it brings up a code

u cannot make or import a car in US if it does not have this feature

and afew other features

i got asked to try come up with something to make older efi cars meet new usa standards so someone here can export nissan skylines to usa but they had to meet this and afgew other things but was goin to be tooo expensive

usa cars also have fuel tank pressure sensors and other stuff thats compulsary if u want to sell a car in usa

im coming up to qld thurs night nov 1st and coming home on mon 4th nov

ill bring up whatever i have finished if not 100% finished ill just bring it back home or finish it up there

i am in process of looking at another way to use ls1 on an l76 without having to remove crank and change reluctor wheel

it will be a kit and hope to include

mechanical parts
wiring not too much hope to just plug in
instructions

only prob is fly by wire throttle body is not changeable between ls1 and l76 as the ecu cannot work with the other throttle body due to sensors working in opposite way
so if u do change to l76 and use ls1 wiring and ecu u need to use ls1 throttle body

i think the demand might be there in afew years

so ill see how it goes
