Thats where the question starts....

Bernie,
"
Begs the question - if you want to be so private or concerned about privacy then why in the hell are you driving around in one of the most conspicious vehicles about. "

The problems starts with the people that DONT drive a Cobra I think...

Spoke with Doug where your Daytona is and he is heading up to Wakefield Park raceway. Sorry to hear you are busy.

To be honest, it was the early settlement on the apartments in Geelong and the current state of play with contractors at Mt. Gambier that has freed me up for the weekend.

Guess I'll also be a non Cobra participant at the event due to time constraints.

Aaah more time for socialising and having a beer or three..

Take care

I fail to see what the issue is!

What does it matter what club they are from????

Yeah, same here. If it means more people get more enjoyment out of their Cobras, the more clubs the better. :D

As usual I'll be at the Nats again this year. Looking forwarding to catching up with everyone.

Ben - Craig,

Good to see you guys are heading to the Nationals. Give me a yell.

I first posted saying, ' I'm flying in as time is a bit of an issue'.

Yes, I also wonder what it's all about, a simple 'post' with a list of Victorian entrants developed totally off 'Thread' into a privacy thing.

As Rove would say - 'what the.....'

See you next week

Beejay 09-21-2007 03:33 AM

I am without car still this year, going to catch up and soak up the atmosphere.

Bernie,

If you need a ride from the airport let me know.

Ben

Hay Nassty, What are you tring to prove???
Friends and people with common interests usualy look after each other, not attack them.

Ben,

I'm grabbing a renter at the airport with TRAIN CRASH off the forum here. Staying at Medelson in heart of town.

See you there mate. Thanks again for the thought.

Bernie

Hi AC302,

Please re-read my posts. I have not attacked anyone. All I have pointed out is that some people, not all, take their privacy seriously. I don't know about you but, for me, I don't want any undesirables, who view this forum as guests, to know that I or my friends will be interstate for a weekend. I have friends who have similar views. I'm willing to bet that most people on the list that was previously posted probably don't have a private phone number. So unless your name is John Smith, it's pretty easy to get a phone book and get their address. My name wasn't on the list but friends of mine were and they didn't appreciate it. So I'm actually looking out for my mates.

Cheers

Tony Cram,

Thought I'd let you know that I got home yesterday from hospital with a brand new right shoulder joint. Not only will I be able to get into my RMC when it's finished, but now I will be able to get out of it. Everything went well. I'm a bit sore, but not bad considering as I was only done on Tuesday.

Baz

BMK 09-21-2007 11:20 PM

Baz

Good to hear.

I just arrived home after doing just on 90k on my bike. Think I need two knee joints. Who's your surgeon..

Baz 09-21-2007 11:27 PM

Bernie, Can't tell you too much. You know these Privacy Laws.

Baz

Thanks for your kind thoughts. I'll catch up with you one day soon.

Baz 09-21-2007 11:32 PM

Bernie,

Body and Chassis arrives from RMC in 2 weeks then the fun starts. I'm hoping to get down to the Nats on the Satuday, but we'll see what the pain threshhold is.

Regards Baz.

My Names' Rob Smith...not John...there's three other Rob Smiths in my suburb. Two of them are electricians (I'm one too) I have a lot of fun when the wrong eleco is rung.

Hi guys, i haven't posted on here for a while, trying to get my own car finished for next years Shelbyfest. Was going to come up and have a look at the Nationals but on Tuesday my 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukaemia so it has thrown our world upside down at the moment. Obviously family comes first and she needs 24hr care. It is amazing how helpless you feel when you walk into the hospital and are directed to the 'Childrens Cancer Centre'. Nothing else seems to matter at that time.

We are being positive and life goes on so have a great time at the Nationals and hopefully i will be there next year with my car.

ac andy.

I bet you feel like a kid at xmas. I'm sure once the RMC arrives, you shoulder won't hurt as much. It's amazing how beneficial a Cobra build can be to both body and soul.

Jesus mate what a blow. Best wishes and I certainly hope everything turns out for the best. Things like this are a wake up call, so easy to take our health and life for granted. I know I certainly do most of the time.

boxhead 09-22-2007 05:00 PM

Andy, I can only imagine how this terrible news has, as you say, turned your world upside down. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your little girl.

Really puts things into perspective.

Cheers,
Andrew
