Who is heading to the Nationals from Victoria

Hi all,

I have limited time next week, so have decided to fly up to the Nationals Friday and return Sunday.

Look forward to catching up with you all. Cobra less and all..

What Victorians have entered the events..

VIC list

Bernie,

Vic list entered. I believe there will be a few others going up for a look.:)

You can see the NSW website list. This is not up to date. NSW sent a full list attending last week with all Nationals entrants. Here's the link - http://www.cobracarclubnsw.org.au/reports.htm#nats07

Cheers

With that many Cobraphiles heading up to the nationals, those less fortunate should expect to see tons of juicy photos on this forum shortly after... fair?! :)

Aussie Mike 09-19-2007 09:30 AM

I'm not happy. I'm in Belgium at the moment and probably won't be home till Thursday before the nationals. I won't have time to prep the car and I will be jet lagged so no nationals for me this year.

Cheers

Hey Bernie:Off Topic but eye opener....

I saw films on the Racing News here in the states of the accident that Phil Lamattina had over there on that little island of yours. This one was worse than the one John Force had last year. That rail went airborne; disintegrated and Phil walked away with a burn on 1 finger. REMARKABLE but a testamount to the way they put these things together for safety.

Cheers, (as you Aussies always say)

I watched the full run on TV here the other night. It appears something broke on the right rail of the chassis near the engine.

On TV you hear the announcer/commentator stating that something may have let go and pierced a tyre as it was standing..%/

From memory, I think Phil is another carrot market gardner over here - similiar to Victor Bray who grows tomatoes - so guess it's all re built by now..:3DSMILE:

Is it easier getting out of the Cobra or the Stock car..

Importantly what do you think of the news girls..

BMK 09-19-2007 06:01 PM

Tony

Thanks for posting the list.

Think the Vics. will certainly provide some good competition..:3DSMILE:

Look forward to catching up.

Tony,

Some of the people you have listed are not members of CCCV and I assume that they have not given you permission to post their names. Perhaps you should edit your post as you may be breaching privacy laws. :)

I thought BOTH the Cobra Clubs were from Victoria....

The entry list is on the NSW site as well.....

As requested by Bernie. The list is of all Victorians not CCCV members. (Just a friendly query)

And all the names are available on the NSW website for all to see.

What privacy laws would Tony breaching? And aren't we going to see these guys all first hand at the Nationals anyway?

sambo 09-20-2007 05:52 PM

I doubt any privacy laws are being breeched here. Perhaps if Tony had included their phone numbers... but certainly not their names, which are listed publicly elsewhere.

Come on guys, ease up on the paranoia. :)

If you re-read my post I haven't used accusatorial language to Tony at all. The fact that the names are on the NSW website is irrellivant as those who have entered have probably given permission to have their names used for what ever purpose the NSWCCC see fit. Tony has not sited where this information came from which implies that he is responsible for the list. Since these people are not members of CCCV and that they haven't given Tony permission to use their names, then that is where the breach may arise.

I do not think that Tony intentionally posted the names of non CCCV people, of which there are six, that he was only responding to an innocent question. But frankly, it's a bit suss that Stiffy and yourself are so quick to defend Tony when all that Tony needed to do was to qualify himself.%/

As to whether or not you are going to see them or not, I think you have already answered that question. :)

sambo 09-20-2007 06:42 PM

Perhaps Tony is outside working on his Cobra. And this is a forum after all. :)

To all,

I have edited my first reply.

F-cken hell - why did I ask the question....

It's my fault sorry all. I did not think anyone would be so sensitive about their privacy.

Begs the question - if you want to be so private or concerned about privacy then why in the hell are you driving around in one of the most conspicious vehicles about.

One that is lusted after, admired, highly visible and loud.

Mmmm, maybe some people who would or could be offended that their privacy has been violated should be driving family 4 x 4's or similiar...

I did not envisage anyone who entered would be worried..%/

Tony

Thanks mate I now have the full list of participants.

Interestingly, it's public domain once one enters this type of event. Privacy Laws are not relevant. It is incumbent on organisers to list participants, classes, race times etc. Just check the C.A.M.S requirements for events. I can recall Calder Park raceway being criticised for not listing participants up in time..%/

It's only F1 teams that get into trouble for spying on others - a very expensive excercise for Ferrari..

Thanks for posting the list of Victorians earlier. It gave me an opportunity to ring a few people and check where they are staying and book in nearby etc.

Look forward to catching up with everyone there.

dbn04 09-20-2007 08:05 PM

bernie,
i sit here and wonder myself how the f#$% could you ask something like that?
i mean have a good hard look at ya self!!!
