how to
Hi all I was going to submit a few pics of my build progress. But first I need someone to explain how to include the pics in the thread.
Doug:confused: |
Theres a sticky thread on here how to do it (that I cant locate :p), but upload the pics to your gallery (gallery\upload). To view your gallery click on the camera icon under any of your posts. To post the pics in a thread, you bring your gallery up (I usually open a second window), and click on the pic you want to post. You will get a line below that says something like img...../img in square brackets, copy that whole field into your post and the pic should come up.....Thats it in a nutshell :)

Ok
I will give it a go ty Doug |
gday doug looking at your gallery which has 1 more pic than mine  ,,ha ha just kidding, this is something i have to learn too,, (uploading to galleryas the cook has approx 500 snaps in her memory card)**) but seriously i noticed your pic
of an xr8(maybe) instrument panel,,what engine/tranny are you using,i have a similiar instrument panel but out a 2006 fpv and was wondering what it would look like compared to the original style of smith guages,, although the panel come with the motor and box, and would be a lot easier to hook up it would bring a sense of newness to the cockpit,im in to minds, have you progressed any further with your dash than shown in the pics:D cheers darrell |
Darrell
the cluster is a new unit (zero Km) from a export teritory. The facia originally read MPH as the primary scale. have now changed this to KPH. I will be using 5.4 Boss 260 engine & 4 speed auto. A chocolate coloured timber centre is being shaped and polished to go around the cluster clock etc. the outer ends of the dash will be grey leather. Doug |
Your not alone. I had the same trouble.

with that info I think I will be ok Doug |
hey what yr is the dash ad is it for a 6cyl teritory
u might have probs gettin some of dash to work unless its matched to the engine ecu new ford engines run a can bus data system i think they have seprate spd and rpm ignals to dash but might be inaccurate |
Sideshow
I honestly do not know what year vehicle it was from. I'm flying blind on this one. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens when everything is wired for sound. thanks Doug |
ok cool
late model vehicle communications between ecu and dash is very complicated very hard to get things to talk to each other on fords there are 2 wires from ecu to dash and these 2 wires usually has the informaton for temp gauge tacho maybe fuel sometimes so maybe if u get time look into it cause might end up with only half the dash working i recently wired a monaro dash into an eh with an ls1 had to wire up the bcm and the pim whiich are the small computers that talk between the engine ecu and the dash and convert signals and stuff so everything works properly anyway see how u go |
I saw that one in the current Street Machine, Good work Jim,
