A good reason for a national building code........
I'm sure recent builder's have also had to stick this onto their dash for rego. What a joke!! :JEKYLHYDE
Attachment 13553  Anyway it will fall off post rego. as the engineer basically indicated too. We will see what transpires from similar recent meetings on the subject!! Cheers |
Where did you get that label from?
|
Yep mine too is just stuck on.
The engineer gave it to me. Prior to it being stuck on the dash he required that it was sown onto the seat belts, which technically makes the seat belts unroadworthy. What the?!? I think mine will end up by the door hinges just in case some copper actually does know what to look for. |
I'm on to my 2nd label. The first was on the dash and blew off. The current one is on the tunnel next to the gear lever but it may become difficult to read once the carpet goes in. :p
Cheers |
Boxhead
These are part of the engineering requirements for the ICV's without crash testing data. Currently we don't need any proof of this but who knows, and hence the title of the thread. Talking with my engineer it sounds like each State authority has to be convinced to adopt a national code, if we can get one up, so each state club will need to lobby locally. Seems a bit weird and would have thought an approach to the Feds. on transport would be the process. Perhaps the hot rod fraternity will be able to help us on this one! Cheers |
Riiiiight...
And that sticker makes the car safer? %/
|
Durrrr,
Thats the V 2.6 model sticker, the one that self inflates to drop down side curtains, 4 door airbags, front pedestrian rejection (with a cushion to land on) and has optional for a mere $1.25 extra a holographic funky background. Bit of an overkill for a Cobra really, but, some like to over engineer. |

You get the rules made official by the Feds, then you need to convince each state to adopt them. First step is the Feds. The states have no power to create rules, they can only choose to ignore, follow or accept them with extra conditions. Well that's my understanding anyway. |
And um... wouldn't be expecting too much from our hot rod friends...... Oil and water!
|
Awww. don't worry about the label it will come off in the first wreck.......:)
I'm not hoping it will just joking......... |
I don't believe it has been legislated here in Canada (yet)
