The Cobra Magazine lists several there and some even export to the US and UK I believe. SA is well known for Lotus 7 replicas as well.

From what I understand KCC was sold to Backdraft some time ago. The owner of KCC now runs the factory for Backdraft.
I wish I had more details. I have an 89 KCC all Jag suspension and was thinking of building another. I built 4 or 5 of them in South Africa.

KCC or Kit Car Centre was sold to Johan and Eugene a few years back,and the then owner Rudie Malan started Backdraft Cobra's with Tony Martin.Johan was diagnosed with cancer and passed away suddenly.KCC didn't survive and some jigs and a body was sold to someone i don't know on auction.Apparently they are now building cars,but don't know much more.At the moment the 2 Cobra manufacturers in S.A.is, Backdraft and Superformance,who mainly build for export

Backdraft is a very good product. I had the opportunity to meet Tony Martin at the Run N Gun at Midstates Raceway St. Louis.

Tony is not only a very experienced driver who is constantly developing his cars he is a nice guy.

The Backdraft uses BMW suspension etc. making it a very neat kit all round.

If you are thinking of importing from SA I would suggest making contact with Tony as he is an upfront business man who is well know in the States with a number of distributors there.
