Second time around...
 
It goes together a lot quicker. I decided to the front end off to respray that part of the chassis before the body goes back on for the last time in a couple of weeks. Quite a few little mods and touchups of the paint were looing a bit ordinary.

Your eye for detail is great. Mine gets pulled apart only for repairs, and that happens all to often.

Its hard enough just keeping up with the updates in your "Cobra make" sig Dave. "FFR65 coupe" - you would be breaking new ground there. Not sure if there are any FF's in Oz, let alone a coupe. Further details needed :)

I know Les - every morning I wake up, thank the gods of the dark side that I wasnt tainted with that strange infliction that makes one want to defy all logic and actually put a ford in one of these things...:D

Andrew, I am just glad to see that you have stuck with Tradition.


That engine looks great, like a classic racer from the 60s, the plastic intake, the coils on the rockers, a gearbox that looks bigger than the engine and just to seal the deal put on those plastic covers that cover up the neat and tidy coils and wire harness.

To hear the engine sing at 6500rpm, if it is only for 20 seconds, is a sound you do not forget, the games you play when you try and find where all the oil from he sump has gone is always good fun.

All this a bargin prices, if you do not include the cost of all the "other" bits.

Classic if forever......or for a short time anyway.

Its interesting from the pics to actually see how close your feet are to the extractors.

Hows the hot feet in these babies fellas?

i dont think its a huge issue. Not many have complained that Im aware of of overly hot feet. I have a layer of cork sandwhiched between the glass and aluminium panels in the engine bay for insulation - so Im pretty confident that should keep it comfortable enough. I may end up ducting cold air fron the front brake ducts and feed into the footboxes down the track if need be.

The cast manifolds will be going pretty soon BTW - so it might be deceptive just how close they are - that said there isnt a lot of room between the footboxes and wheel wells for the pipes to exit.

5 days till the body goes back on for the last time..:D

I enjoy the fact that my car has what looks like a small block Windsor, but to do it agin it would have an LS7 and a tko600 behind it.
