Why Michael is the prince actually a baron?

But being a good Ozzy you thought you'd raise your **** and offer your services with photographic proof of course!!

Hi Sambo,
You mention a new T56 for under $2000. Can you direct me to a source. The best I have found is $2900.

Speedo cable end different, speed gear different position, not world class box

not sure if yoke different,

input shaft 6" (ford) vs 6.6" (chev) on t5550 may or may not apply

Jeff, welcome to the forum. :)

The Holden surplus boxes are all gone as far as I can tell and the cheapest I can find new is $2500 on eBay. Otherwise give Ballarat Holden (WASP) a call and ask about reco'd items - I think they're under 2k.

Cheers,
Paul

I think Mine came from Barry burke (ad on ebay - 2500). I can recommend them - they were able to ship at a good price too (even though the add said pick up only).

Go new - especially on a critical componant like the gearbox. When you think of what you spend on a cobra build, $500 is a very small drop in a very large ocean.

:)

Andrew, I'm still weighing this up (new vs reco). Spoke to Stewart at WASP and the reco work is done by TCA and involves a full bearing kit, new syncros and modified shaft to add an extra spline on 3/4 gears, which technically makes it tougher than new.

Having said that, brand spankers for an extra $700 or so is pretty hard to pass up.

I brought some packets of fruit tingles with me as I'm told she's partial to them. Unfortunately I ended up eating most of them on the plane.

It's a bloody long way from Melbourne to Denmark. It's 29.5 hours flying time and some waiting round at airports in between.

Looks like I'll have a free day to see the sights of Copenhagen this weekend. Should be interesting.

Cheers

Careful with the "coffee" in Amsterdam if you make it down that way Mike. :)
