Greg,
Looking good, can I put you down for a new 8.8 diff conversion.

Phil

ls1 Ac Cobra 04-22-2008 02:01 AM

That could be on the cards Phil let me know how much and see if I have allowed for it in the money side of things.

400TT 04-22-2008 05:00 AM

Yeah, that would be a good investment in peace of mind.

macloft 05-22-2008 12:57 AM

Greg that looks superb well done
I am really interested in what you did. The sound of a supercharger especially in something like a Cobra makes my hair stand up
But how do you get that engineered what about the insurance.
What other changes have you made to the motor, have you actually driven it yet, how is it driven off the back of the motor. Why did you go for that style/make of supercharger.
Bruce

macloft 05-22-2008 01:15 AM

Jesus I didnt look at sideshows photos and I see it is still driven off the front but what is the pulley drive at the back for.
How much extra would you expect from this another 100kw?
Bruce

sideshow 05-22-2008 01:33 AM

dale from castle hill exhausts did the supercharger and dyno on the patrol i wired up
he also tuned the cobra u seee here

it weighs 2.5 tonne and is 4wd so a std 6lt its not to bad

then fitted supercharger and went to 240 kws

ls1 Ac Cobra 05-22-2008 06:53 AM

Bruce was already engineered no changes to motor fanbelt and clutch were sliping on dyno so not a proper reading on dyno but at the moment we got 295kw at the rear smaller fan belt and better clutch should see more at the rear.
Also is an absolute ball to drive.

Greg,

That looks great. The torque increase will blow you away.Get ready for a lot of sideways action:) Phil:)
