Electrical - Weather Pack
Does anyone know of a good supplier of weatherpack electrical connectors.
I can only buy them individually in Darwin, and the retailers, who sell the Narva version don't miss you with the price.
I want to put as many of them in as I can (within reason) so I can remove components easily.
Thanks
Hogster

Just remember, each one becomes a point of failure overall.
Just put in the ones you need like; fuel pump & electrical sending units. The rest should be able to be plugged and unplugged.

Hogster,
I bought all my weatherpack connecters in Brisbane from a company call Auto Electrical Imports. Their website is www.visonalert.com.au, email address sales@aeimports.com, telephone is 07 32743077 (they have moved to a larger building, so I don't know if they are using the same number). Another place to try is Ebay (US). I bought enough weatherpack connectors, spare seals and pins and good quality crimp tool and pin removal tools to wire at least another car for around a third of the price delivered.
AEI's prices for weatherpack connectors were around half that was being charged at the auto electricians.
I bought all my gear I needed to buy for the wiring from them. They have everything that you need and the prices are reasonable.

when u mean wether pack are they water proff or resistant
or do u mean the basic everyday white plugs with brass terminals
buying them from shops is dear
i buy the white plugs from a mobile guy at 50 plugs at time
but i dont use the brass coloured terminals that u get with narva stuff
i find the brass terminals dont hold its oppisite terminal as good as the silver one i buy from my supplier
i just got 200 relays for very good price
someone on here should get everyone together make a list then find somehwere u can buy them in bulk
but at end of day a cobra costs 50 to 80 g so whats a couple hundred on wiring
wiringstuff goes up every few months due to price of copper

Sideshow, I don't think they are talking about the normal white connectors.
Are you guys talking about this type of thing? This is the type of connector we have used.

thought that was them cause they are waterproof
where in the car do u use them they are ok but are bulky and u need special crimpers to t a very good crimp
as my normal crimpers leaves a dodgey crimp with the terminals on those types of plugs
u really only need them on front end
i hardly use them never had any probs with basic white plastic plugs
there a better plugs that those just even more expensive
i had to fit one to a skyline with 7 wires just very ulky and the wires feel flimsy in them

Thats the ones. At autobarn I found a 2 pin connector, badged as NARVA. 1 plug was nearly $10-00. I nearly had a heart attack. I want to use them for
Head lights
tail lights
Gearbox senders - neutral/reverse
And then seperate engine loom,
Dash Loom
I figured that would be a good way to do it as these plugs "look" like a good quality product.
Thanks for the links to those that replied. I shall shop like the wind.

i tink thats abit overboard using them everywhere
never had any probs using the good old white plugs
headlights u can hard wire direct to the plug that goes on back of headlight globe as u can buy those plugs and terminals for the ligth globes
anyway i think somneone is best off getting orders and buying them in bulk
i think i paid 25 buks for 10 2 pins plugs then i had to buy seals and terminals
in packs of 100
