Gidday all.
Bought my dream 18 months ago rego`d but ruff and getting better everyday $$$. Dust and caress her all the time. A windsor 302 is the work horse,lpg gas only (Gas Reasearch),top end done. Extractors and exaust pipes pro made( outside pipes are dummies). Rancho shocks at rear ,400 lb king coils and pedder pro shocks in front. Question, replacing oil pan any ideas . |

I want a lower profile pan on a 351 Cleveland and all the aftermarket suppliers recommend a 9" low profile pan...that's the stock height ! I reckon I will have to build my own...shorter but wider to keep the same volume and lots of baffles to do the job

Have a look at using a Milidon road racing pan they are very well baffled and have extra capacity without being overly deep, you will also need to get the pickup to suit.
302W part number is 31600 and pickup is 18485 351C pan number is 31483 and pickup is 18483 You could also look at a High Energy pans but I dont have any numbers for them |
Rob, the Canton High Capacity pans are well priced and perform well and should give you the extra clearance you need. We recommend them to RCR customers.
I think for the Cleveland you need #15-710. |
400TT...thanks for the link. 8" depth is a bit better than the 9" stock unit. I think that I'll have to look at a shorter depth (damn speed bumps) and bigger side "tanks" the only problem is access to the flange bolts. Looks like I will have to make a sculpture with special holes for the bolts etc. more fun in design and build.

Nice to get some helpfull advice and have narrowed it down to either highenergy oil pans or canton oil pans.
both can give me reduced depth 7 inch to 7 1/2 inch with increased oil volume , better oil takeup . |
