Default Got iPad?

I have my new iPad, and first impressions are very good.

Those with iPhones (not me, I'm a blackberry user) will be well familiar with the app store, so all good there except now there's a decent screen to show the content.

Typing is easy, I'm typing this now at a speed only a little slower than on a normal keyboard.

Most important, now I can surf club cobra from my couch or garage/workshop without waiting for a laptop to boot and in comfort

No doubt this an expensive gap device (somewhere between a smartphone and a computer) but it fills the gap nicely for me, functioning as a couch browser and a limitless recipe book for the kitchen bench.

No doubt other uses will present themselves as time goes on. Being able to stream chasing classic cars across my network is nice too

They were saying on the radio that people camped out for 29hrs to get one!

You have to hand it to Apple, they know how to create hype. I have a client that does building work for them. I cant say the details but it is amazing what goes into building one of their stores.

I don't know why you would camp out to get one at 08:30, I ordered on the web three weeks ago, and received today by courier at 9am...........

I recently switched from Blackberry pearl to an I-Phone 3G S. I'm pretty happy with it once you get past the shorter battery life. One function I find very useful is the internet tethering. I use a bluetooth connection from my laptop to my I-Phone and then use the 3G connection to get to the internet. You can leave you phone in your pocket and just connect through it.

Cheers
