Default First Drive

Hello,

Well just back from Winton for the first run in the Daytona...

What a day, my first drive was to put it on the trailer and work out the 6 Speed. Drove up on Friday and woke to rain and cold

It cleared and I was on the track.... a few sighting laps and back to check it over. nothing wrong, the car felt very neutral. So after a few more laps I gave it a bit.... Alot of people said that I would be VERY happy with the 6 Litre..... They were right, my god it flies, its a fantastic motor and its standard and not even tuned... The heads and Cam will make it sing and dance I'm sure.....

Dunno why ya need aftermarket heads unless you're going really really wild.

The standard heads are fantabulous performers.

Default No Pic's

Rebel1,

I have also heard that the standard heads are fantastic, but the dollar was so good and they look better....

Gav,

No pic's as I was too excited, al least I had a tripod......

Bernie,

Doug really did a great job to get to the driving state in such a short time.. Mant thanks to him and to Greg for the loan of his tyres.

Stiffy,

Great to hear the Daytona is a goer and that the motor is up to expectations. The proposed mods will make it awesome

Default Mods,

Pneall,

I think just the cam and tune would be enough but hey it will be good to see the difference between the standard heads and the aftermarket.

Richard,

I am a legend.....

Rebel1,

I didn't have enough time to find out...
