What a Day!!!

Hi guys,

Mark at "Mark's Workshop" in York, WA has nearly completed my Cobra...I spent the morning with Mark "smiling from ear to ear" and "grinning like a Cheshire cat"...I'm sure that most of the WA guys will know that Mark has a good reputation for quality work, but now having worked with him on finishing off my Superformance rolling chassis, I do not think there will be a bigger fan of his work...what he has done on my cobra is simply fantastic...I'm one very, very happy customer!!

We also had the Engineer come by this morning and give the car "the once over" to collect our list of things to get done before she's ready for rego! I was very happy with the Engineer's comments and suggestions and we have a few things to get right before she's ready for final inspection and a date with the rego boys!

Mark kindly posted a clip on "youtube", so for those interested, check out http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=mY2EYgsFXf8

Regards.....Paul

Very Nice Paul

Looks and sounds great.

Fantastic car, sounds brutal.
Congratulations.

Regards.

WOW! Paul,

I also have a grin from ear to ear and I have only seen the video, it sounds freaking awesome, I don't want to admit it, but that is one great sounding Chev.
Keep up the good work and of coarse the regular updates.

Cheers,

Harry.

Paul, just fantastic. Nice work. I bet you can't wait for that rego date.

I've got an LS7 heading over in my next container. Can't wait. :D

Ben....thanks for your kind comments...but I'm sure that I'm not the only cobra enthusiast who after dreaming for 25 years about owning and personalising their very own cobra becomes as possessive and as protective as a new parent...no-one is getting this car away from me!

LoBelly...the dyno result was 443.8 hp at the wheels which we thought was a terrific result as it was our 1st tune...

Harry & Craig...Yeah, I had high expectations about the LS7 and have read with great interest all the Aussie car magazine reports about the new HSV W427, and most journalists have commented on the sound of the 7 litre LS7, but now having heard this LS7 engine in a cobra with sidepipes...It sounds amazing...I do need to quieten things down a bit though...we were well above the 90db max reading at max hp...

Regards......Paul

Thanks Cameron....looking forward to the Nats and meeting a lot of the names I've come to know so well on CC!

Ross Smith 08-19-2008 12:57 AM

Oh WOW!

One of my speakers just dropped off the desk when I played that clip, I can't wait to here it for real. It looks and sounds sensational, good luck with licensing.

Cheers

Ross

Paul that sounds amazing and I love the black/chrome look - pure evil! Hope final engineering and rego goes smoothly.

*Cobber* 08-19-2008 05:36 PM

Paul,

Congratulations it looks and sounds a real treat.
Me thinks you will have to have a light right foot.

Check out these 615 hp LS7 deals.

Plums 08-21-2008 06:52 AM

That's great Paul, bet you can't wait to get it on the road!!!!

I'll have to have a very serious chat with you after you get through noise testing and engineering.

440 rwhp is just a soft tune too.... just wait till you wind the wick up after rego ;)

alffie 10-22-2008 12:54 AM

Hi Paul
Hows the Cobra going? registed yet?

Heidelberg 10-22-2008 01:11 AM

Hi Alffie,

Not quite...The Engineer has given me his OK though...I just need to get the Cobra on to a Weighbridge for the front & rear axle weights to finalise the Engineer's report and then make a booking with the Rego guys!

It's getting closer! :D:D:D

Regards.....Paul

spookypt 10-22-2008 04:55 PM

Remember Paul e .. Light right foot!

Heidelberg 10-23-2008 12:51 AM

Thanks Spookypt....I remember!!

Just got the weighbridge readings - total weight @ 1160kgs (unlaiden with a full tank of fuel) with a 45% front/55% rear bias.

Just out of interest, what weights are you guys seeing in your Cobras?

Regards.....Paul
