As a result of me being in Sydney for work, I made a good contact with a rep from Datadot.
Datadot is a company that sells encoded microdots that are bsically sprayed onto your car with an adhesive. It is not really possible to remove them all without acid bathing components that are sprayed with them and in the application to a vehicle, there are thousands of them.
The advantage to us is that when you put the stickers on your car to say you are datadot protected, crooks know that have a major pain in the butski to on-sell your car or its components because they are covered with the dots.
The dots have a readable number which links to a Database. All police forces have datadot detectors and readers, even ours in the NT
In the past there have been vehicle recovered beside the road after being stolen (bikes and cars) because the dots are too hard to get off.
Anyway - the gent I was talking to was interested in assisting us with the protection of our vehicles, so if anyone is interested, let me know and I will see what sort of price or group discount we can get.
This stuff is the business - Companies that use this stuff at the Factory now include, BMW, Subaru, Mini, Mitsubishi Ralliart, and numerous others.
