Hume Highway north of Albury

Can anyone report on the roadworks going on the Hume Highway north of Albury. I am leaving this afternoon and do not know whether to divert via Wagga

There was some discussion at the meeting last night and it was reported that the road was sealed with only mud/muck tracked onto the highway from works vehicles in the area.

One member also reported that there were several temporary speed restriction zones in place (via little road level signs) in that area and that they were being patroled with extreme prejudice.
