Merv

Where there's a will there's a way !!

Hope to register with live side pipes that have an extended piece that runs back under the back end and out the back as required by law.

This "extended bit" may be a temporary addition until after the rego.

We'll be as creative as possible.

Regards,

Warren.

Seriously, the LS7 is simply awesome....I've clocked up about 1500 kms since rego late last year and 90% of my driving has been very sedate cruising and the LS7 is an amazingly smooth motor that feels like it's got endless torque and is perfectly happy just pottering along at just above idle....When you get that "stirring feeling" and you fancy a bloodrush, put the right foot down a bit and instantly you're in different car, not thinking about anything and unable to stop smiling!!!

In all honestly, I think I've have the motor working at 10/10ths for probably 3 to 6 seconds at a time for a couple of dozen times or so and it's only then that you understand just how close the emotions of fear and excitement really are!!

My 2 cents worth - go for it, you won't regret your decision!

Regards......Paul

Hey Paul,

I sent you a PM the other day...not sure if you've seen it, or it was swallowed during the recent website's downtime .

Could you send me your e-mail address...

My "normal" e-mail address is :

thebrochureservice@bigpond.com.au

I need to pick your brain about the LS7.

Many Thanks,

Warren.

WAZZA,

Great to see you OLD car gets a good home. It was one of the nicest DRB'S I have seen. Great colour's and a very nice/neat car. I was amazed when you and a couple of your mates DROVE to the SHELBYFEST a few years back, now I know why its done 140k's..
STIFFY

Hey Stiff,

Thanks for the kind words....I sure did LOOOOVE that car.

Never had a car in my life that after six years , would still put a smile on my face every time I'd see her , as that garage door went up.

That trip to the SHELBYFEST was a great example of why I loved that car.

3,500 kilometre round trip.( A bit warm in parts ....47 degrees !!)

Including plenty of 200 kph PLUS on the Newell highway ( Unlimited speed limit ???...No??)

"Jagged" a first place in the sprints , (1 min 39.9 secs, with brakes completely cooked by the last lap )

Enjoyed the company of all of the other Cobra nuts from all over.

And got back home without any problems, and just some bugs in her teeth.

Gotta love that !!

I hope the new car gives me the same "warm and fuzzies"

Cheers,

Warren.

I too remember seeing you and the car at ShelbyFest Wazza

I had just got my kit and went to Winton for a look - you were very generous with your time talking about your set up (if I recall I was impressed with your engine/bay and you were impressed with your new radiator)

I think your race car was there too under different management (?)

Which naturally will mean that you'll be obliged to bring your new cobra down when its done - because all your other cobras have been.

Good luck with the new project

LoBelly

Yeah ...Thanks LoBelly......I always tried to keep the engine pretty tidy.

I think I'll miss that "Old School " Carby look....

Another 347 leaves home

XX347 aka SPF 004 has also found somewhere else to live. If the benevolent officials will allow it, I'll bring the ute to Winton for a spin. If I can beat one cobra (preferably chevy powered) I'll be happy:D

And what about this cougar IRS. Can the skyline not handle the torque.
Should I bring one back from Texas to bolt in my Harrison.
