It has changed location in the later models - here is an earlier model with the reverse light just above the exhaust. In the later models this is one of the red fog\vision light things

Warren,

This is my car as fitted with two of the late model mini reversing lights... ( i hope this photo works....)

They are off the first of the late model minis, the later ie 2007 2008 etc had a red light at the back and not the clear ones...

I think they were about $20 each....

Hi again Warren, how did you go regarding revese lights?
What did you use and do you have a pic?

Also how did you go regarding the high mount brake light?

I could not find a reverse light that would not look like an add on. I eventually purchased an ADR approved LED generic light and attached it to mess under the back of the car. The only problem it is back to far to meet the ADR. I am in the process of moving it more towards the back so it will comply.

The high mount stop light is the one Classic Revival make. It took a bit to make it fit the curve of the 540 boot as it is flatter than the AC boot.
Although I am not 100% happy with it, it looks OK and I got away from the "kit car look" the hella high mount stop lights give.

Thanks again Warren.

The "roll hoops" on the car I am building have been removed and he has had Chrome moly ones made that bolt in and down to the rear subframe, I will get some pics when I start on the car.
They are a reproduction (look the same) as the ones originally fitted.
