Warning Warning

Geoff it looks like the protector for the fiberglass lip around your dash has fallen off **)
Better get Warrick to use a better glue
What process are you going to use to sort out who gets to drive with you.
Looks great. Those Harrison trade plates have hung off the back of a few cars now.
Question is who has number 100?

Back to the sand pit! Already. It will be harder this time. I pick up my VIN forms today and the local police say they will come to my house to finish the paperwork and submit it. Service at the Sunshine Coast!!!

Cheers

Thanks Bruce,

Ta for the heads up, I wonder where it went :D

Who sits where is a constant battle in trains, planes, automobiles, restaurants etc. Big sister usually wins out.

Yep, These short trips are a pain.

Picked up my VIN number today. 24 hour turn around is pretty good I reckon. Wasn't to the door though.

That was quick! I probably won't see mine until well after easter. Decided to go fishing up north for a while. I will need to check out the process of getting the numbers stamped in the appropriate way. What is the best way to do that?

You have 28 days from receiving VIN to presenting the car to QT.

I think engraving the VIN on a plate and welding/riveting it to the chassis is the go. Neigh impossible to stamp anything legible on square tubing.

Geoff,
great looking car. It seems you have the same problem that I have. wife has decided she likes the car, the six year old absolutely loves to go for drives in the cobra, especially to school, so now I have a three way battle as to who goes in the cobra and sending the kid to Grandma's for a visit doesn't cut it anymore.
In relation to the VIN number we do a lot of work with a company specialising in Laser cutting and etching. I had them etch my VIN number onto a piece of stainless steel (2mm thick). I then welded it to the left side frame. I didn't have any problems with registration last Wednesday. If you and / or Merv want me to get your VIN numbers etched onto a piece of stainless let me know. Cant remember how much it cost exactly (it wasn't expensive as I recall) but can let you know tomorrow when I get to work.
email is colinh@qldbreathing.com

That sounds like an great idea thanks Colin. I will be in touch when I get the VIN number.

Thanks for the offer Colin, I may just take you up on that.

My paperwork references the VIN in two places, however one is a digit short. I need advice from Warwick about this

I can usually get the kids to agree to take turns in things but deciding the order can be tricky.

Dropped the car off at the upholstery place this arvo to finish off the loose ends.

Cheers
