Default Webber....

Is he the unluckiest man in F1, or is he just $hit?

Hate to say it but it cant all be put down to bad luck

After all he is the one pointing the car where he wants it to go.

On this occassion unlucky....mechanical failure put him down the back, and off the start this was where all the bash and crash happened in those first few turns.

4 teams, 6 seasons, 2 podiums. Obviously you have to have some skill to be there, but that record speaks for itself. All bad luck??? I dont think so.

If he is sh!t then he is great at pulling the teams collective legs and picking up millions of dollars each race..

There are a few more Lewis Hamiltons out there waiting to get their drive and I'm sure they would bump Webber if he wasn't performing.

I think mostly unlucky...you look at the podium since he has been racing F1. You don't need a big bit of paper to write down all the different names that have stood on the podium. Had he been rich and was able to buy a drive with a top team his name may have appeared more often

I am not saying he is a $hit driver, just that he is not as good as some of the other drivers, yes he is $hit compared to most other F1 drivers, but still a damn site better than your everyday guy walking down the street.

I think he is pretty good.

At that level you do not last long without others appreciating talent.

Elite sports people create their own luck.

Sth African golfer Gary Player once hit a miraculous golf shot and someone from the crowd yelled. "Gee Gary..that was lucky." His answer.. "Yep it was...and the more I practise, the luckier I get."

The thing is that - as with most serious motorsport - its a team event.

Saw some of the GP and thought that Webber was unfortunate

Having the rear-end of the car collapse because someone gave it a stern look is not necessarily something he can control - and the team could not to get him back into the race in time to do 90% of the race.

Frankly I admired his composure in the face of the events

The pity is that his shelf life may expire before he gets going.

I sat through practise on Saturday night and was very excited when he qualified on pole.

I sat through the whole thing live last night and although I wasn't as happy as he was - did the bloke go off or what - I was verrrrry happy for him to get that monkey off his back.

He has been unlucky with the cars he's driven, did anyone else see the flip into the trees in the Le Mans series...

Transfering out of Williams and they go onto be unbeatable...

The proof will be if he can go on with it for the rest of the year. He now has a good team and a good car that has proven to be very fast. There are no more excuses...

If Jensen Button can win GPs than anyone can! He has languished in the rear for years, like Webber. Webber has the ability and it is as more the car than the driver these days. There is almost no real racing in F1 anymore.
