New Rocker covers
Hi all,
Just got some new rocker covers made up for the LS7. It's not that I'm not proud of my LS7, nor the fact that it's Chev, but I previously had Chevrolet rocker covers on and there was something about advertising the fact that the engine was a Chev that never felt quite right!
For those interested in what they look like, check out the attached youtube posting that Mark from Mark's Workshop recently posted.

Paul, when I first saw your thread I thought to myself Id post some smartass comment regarding Ford/Chev, but when the video came on screen my jaw dropped and only one word came to mind.... MAGNIFICENT. Car looks great and the engine bay looks amazing.
Could you post some pics of the engine bay the catch cans and overflow bottles look like they've been painted with a crinkle finish, is that right?
Regards.

Hey Guys
I was going to put some SMART "FORD" comment, but after watching the video, who do I have to sleep with to get an LS7 (with any Rocker covers).

Thanks for the complements guys..
Mando - I've added a few photo's to my gallery that I took this afternoon that hopefully will give you a better picture of the dry sump reservoir, catch can, radiator overflow and windscreen wiper reservoir...all are aluminium painted in the black crinkle finish as you thought...I would have posted them in the thread, but I didn't know how to do that!!
New Rocket - Send me a PM with your telephone number and I'll give you a call...
Spookypt - Yes my mate Gus (Paul) and I are really looking forward to coming along to the Nationals again this year...we had such a great time last year that we've been looking forward to this years all year...I'd also love to bring my Cobra across...but my first enquiry quickly determined it may be an expensive exercise!...I'm still trying to identify reasonably priced reliable and safe enclosed car transportation to/from Melbourne, so I'm still hopeful, but at this stage I don't have a solution...
Cameron - How's the US? Are you going to make it down under for the Nationals?
Regards.......Paul

Heidelberg thanks for the pics. Your engine bay is the first I've ever seen that looks like it was factory fitted and not just a motor installed into a kit car. I love the look, thanks again.
Regards.

Love it Paul.
I should have gone up another LS5. LS2 + LS5 = LS7. You should be really proud of your car. It's fabulous. Likewise, hope to see it at the Nats.
Baz.

It ain't a Ford Cobra, but looks great! All the use of black and not so much polished metal is the 'less is more philosophy' in action. Well done!
