Default Is this the future...?

I was wandering around uTube looking at what people have up there and came across this...

I also found it here: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/video...cobra-evx.html

Interestingly Brabus are now tuning the Tesla so you can have "simulated engine sounds including that of a typical V8 combustion engine, a racecar engine..."
http://www.brabus.com/en/raster.php?...3&modell=13554

Is this the end or just the beginning?

I guess we no longer have all Ford motors, then electric and maybe even diesel one day. Diesel cars do win Le Mans. But the sound? I read that the new Mazda MX5 has a small device behind the dash to make a noise that replaces the muffled exhaust and induction noise.

Not sure we are all better off, but one day that maybe the only find of Cobra allowed on the road.

It comes with a couple of playing cards and some clothes pegs to clip them to the front forks.

Noticed when it stopped, the plug must have pulled out of the socket. Behave.... A Cobra with zero decibels. Not for me. Sorry.

Zero emissions ? What do they charge the battery with ? A STINKIN great power station that puts out more CO2 tonnage in one year than 4 barrel 427 could in a lifetime.

Rob. Smith

Damn you read my thoughts.

Just like the bottled water that takes 3 litres of fuel to make the bottle!!!! Not to mention packaging, freight and disposal.

I still put my head under the tap to get water if out - saves the dollars also..

Exclamation Overall Green.....

I've been told that if one adds up the manufacturing environmental impact of the exotic materials required to build and replace parts on a Prius and compare that to a Hummer...even over a ten year mileage differential the Hummer is NET more environmentally friendly! My son has a way of saying it, when there's an apparently contradictory set of claims..... "Follow the money Dad, follow the money...."

Regards,

Dirk

I think its the beginning of the end

A year or so back I posted a similar clip of a Daytona with an electric engine

At the time it really grated, but then I realised that some of my best friends put small blocks or ch3^'s in them (and it's really no less offensive to the purist ).

Wonder how you'd go for rego here - don't know of any production cars running them....

Imagine having to make your own broom broom noises.

I stopped doing that once the engine got going!
