Default Brake caliper issues

I'm having problems with my rear brake calipers leaking fluid at the banjo bolt. I've tried everything that has been suggested to fix the problem (new hose, new banjo bolt, new copper washers, tightening it more, cleaning the surfaces... etc, etc). Is there anything else to try? I'm getting sick of it. I'm looking to replace the calipers with a set that won't break the bank. I believe the calipers I have are GM (came with my kit). Are there any GM replacement calipers that you've had good luck with that will work with the original B&B 9" setup? Thanks...

check out Speedway Motors.....they have several "affordable" rear dics. setups that will work for your application.....1-800-979-0122

You could eliminate the banjo fitting by getting a straight thread male fitting (steel) that would be screwed into the caliper with an aluminum crush washer, with a male -3 AN nipple exposed and then attach a -3 Stainless flex hose.

PS: If the existing banjo bolt is aluminum, replace it with steel and use a fresh crush washer; otherwise refer to the post immediately below. It is right on the money.

I had the same problem with one of my rear calipers. There was a small ding on the mating surface of the caliper. I got a new one. I believe they are from an 85 Cad El Dorado. Auto Zone # C242.
