Shelby 4000 series also has the license plate light off set 3/8 inches left of center. Shelby angles the stripe to line up in the center of the light. It's the way the originals were, I guess.

If the "off-centeredness" would be identified as a design element of the kit or the original by the kit manufacturer, it would have been very helpful in the paint design process. I sup0pose I should have checked it prior to paint, but assumed that it would have been close. But ... you know what they say about assume.

Man Rob, I'm impressed! I could not ever tell by the finished pictures. I think I may just go stripeless! Seems like assuming with these cars is double trouble!

I like the look of stripes. I have seen some solid colors that really look sharp, but, I think the stripes give the car that "I go fast" look.

nice to know there are anal people like me who notice things like off center scoops and tail lights. Grreat job . did you center up the tail light or move the stripe? I like the stripes too and wonder if you adjusted the width(fatter at the cockpit ) or not? Peter.

I reworked the license plate light also. I moved the stripes as far as I could, but they would conflict with something else like the radiator openings, the roll bars (I used two), etc. I went with the specs the ERA folks put out that give the dimension of the stripes; wider at the top and smaller at the bottom. I obviously went with the small 1/4" stripe outside the main stripes.
