All I am saying is if it is all out in the open in black and white yes or no then there is no inbetween.

I once saw a new viper down in sebring hit the wall and total it, the owner had it flatbedded off the track and tried to make an insurance claim.

Problem was all the pictures of the crash were on the website quicker than the owner could get the claim in. Point being not everyone thinks the same as you.

If someone goes on track with a new car and throws a rod in the new motor or strips a gear in the tranny or worse puts the car in the tire barrier will they be of the same mindset and think well I took the chance and now I will pay to fix it?

Quite frankly I give Vintage credit for taking on this endeavor and the potential liability it could entail, if you had a financial interst in the company would you be so willing to take such a risk?

I am sure all the Insurance will be in place and the liability waivers signed etc. But you know it only takes one .....

Track insurance

I have never purchased track insurance but it is available and is based off of how much money you want to insure the car for. Deductable is $5000!!!!

Your point was made 4 posts ago. Everyone thanks you for bringing to their attention that they should do their due diligence before driving their car on the track.

You should offer the track event for someone considering buying a car. Once they get track needle in their arm, it's all over. They'll keep coming back for more. Then you raise the price of admission.

Headed to Sebring again this weekend and fully prepared to leave my car there.

Ditto. Well put. This is a high risk, high return hobby enjoyed by some of the best people you could ever meet.

Is your brother back on the track yet?

Bailey 08-20-2010 05:21 PM

Soon, hopefully in time for THE Roundup, I was over at his place last night, helping fab some bits. I can't give away any secrets, but there will be plenty of firsts on his TD;)

How about the first carbon scoop? I will settle for the second.
