Talking Project "horange dog" with a tilt nose, finished.

Here are some pics of my ls2/t-56 tilt nose build.

Top of the footboxes is all carbon with all other structeral areas reinforced with 17oz 090 carbon, removable tranny tunnell with removable top and cupholders for those coffee runs. Nose is removable with 4 bolts and makes it super handy to get to the clutch master cylinder justby opening and it's secured with canam latches and hood pins..Been a lot of fun. Now for the next project....

I love it! Especially the cup holders in a race car. You can come clean out of the apex and sip a mocha at the same time... LOL...

Thanx guys, its been a fun project.

Jay, health wise I dont need to be on the track so if you know anyone looking for one of the only 3 backdraft TD cars in existence let me know. Hopefully this weekend I'll have the ad in classifieds.

It looks great. Do you still use the hood prop rod?
What seat is that?
What is the hole in the body above the exhaust?

The hood prop rod can be used to hold the nose up because ive gone with hood pins

The seat is one of Tonys old race seats offered by backdraft.

That is a custom TD car jacking point that backdraft installs to be able to jack up the whole side for tire changes. There is a recepticle welded into the cage that a bar slides in. Also works well for an extension cord lead light if you need to be in there with the tourneau cover on.

Now that's funny. Hows your car, Mark? Back together, running strong?

Looks really nice. I'm partial to tilt fronts.

A couple of questions: it looks like the latches are on the inside. How do you get to them to engage the latch?

Do you have any close up shots of the hinges?
How about the alignment pins and/or receivers?

Thanks!
John
