Suggested source for LED bulbs to replace my taillight/brake light bulbs...
I'm planing to replace my taillight/brake light bulbs (1157/1034 style) with newer style LED bulbs...(I have a Backdraft Roadster)
Any suggestion of a reliable source for LED bulbs...should the LED's be red...are LED bulbs brighter than standard 1157/1034 bulbs? The newer LED bulbs seem to have light diodes wrapped around the outside...for better light dispersion...has anyone installed this type of LED bulb? Any information...suggestions...or problems I might encounter...would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Randy BDR #340 |

LED's for BDR
Randy,
I installed the LED turn and brake lights on my BDR. Purchased them from Superbrights. am |
I'm happy with the 1.8" clusters available at Custom Dynamics - Motorcycle LED Light Bulbs. Red in the back and amber up front - matching the lens color. I bought the ones with pigtails and plugs, but ended up cutting the plugs off the ones in the back and hard-wiring.

I bought the Superbights. They are a bit pricey, and a couple of the units didn't last very long. I replaced with LEDs from Autozone - they're cheaper and just a couple of blocks away. Same brightness, and all better than the stock bulbs.

Thanks for all the good suggestions!
