We've got some very intimidating customers (Navy SEALS, Army Rangers, drone pilots, nuke sub key holders, FBI) that ensure everyone is happy

Jay & Brian do a great job all around and a big reason the BDR brand is strong in the northeast. When you purchase from them there truly is value added as they are all about making sure the car turns out right and you’re happy. I was close to buying a Super Performance but Vintage’s ability to make it easy and their knowledge of the product and market made it an easy decision. In fact by the time SPF dealer had figured out I was serious and got back to me I had already taken delivery of the car! They also always react the right way when a problem arises which is all you can ask.

A little late, but as everyone has already said, Jay, Brian and everyone at Vintage are great. Next month will be 5 years since taking delivery from Vintage and the grin hasn't left my face since. Excellent support after the sale as well - for customers and other owners alike!

Hope you guys had a great Christmas!

Hi Tim

Congrats on the order with Jay and Vintage Motorsports. I got my order in with Jay last month for a Spectra Blue/white stripes with the same engine as you've ordered. Following the build on his website is a blast

Look forward to hearing your report on the VMS 427X and your cobra early next year!

Congratulations Tim!

I am owner of BDR 1078 and it is finally finished and ready for shipment. I'm not too far away from you in Fort Wayne. There is a Northeast Indiana Cobra Enthusiasts club located in Fort Wayne with about 14 members if you are interested. I don't think the club is very active except for a breakfast meet and greet once a summer.

Even though my build is done, I'll continue to follow your build. It's fun to see the cars come together. Good luck and enjoy that car!

Brian

Hey Art!

Your car is looking great! Jay told me he was planning to take it out today for a test run! I'll look forward to seeing the final pictures of your sweet ride! Have a great New Year!!

+1 for vintage

Jay knows one thing for certain - small businesses stand on reputation. Never seen a significantly unhappy customer with Jay.

it doesn't seem like Backdraft pushes us to use their own site for complaints. Jay handles a lot of BDR issues (his customers and others) in the open on this forum. BDR at large really should be recognizing him for the amount of hours he spends online helping us on the smallest of concerns to defending the brand.

There's no wonder why Jay has survived and moved so many cars during an economic storm.

I would also venture to say that Vintage Motorsports is not a one man show that you u could get your help if Jay wasn't around. He has a significant support network between his brother and father and friends. It's a strong family supporting a strong business that is on a strong ethical founding.

Enjoy the purchase! You will not be dissapointed.

Jay, Brian and crew are outstanding.
I deal with many types of companies in my business and most are good and have there pros and cons to do business with. I can count on one hand the companies that I would say give exceptional service day in and out year after year. VMS is one of those companies and would highly recommend them to anyone.
I purchased Backdraft #488 in 2007 and had several issues over the years and VMS has always responded quickly and positively to my issues. I have had parts well out of warranty that I needed and Jay sent me at no charge after I have requested a bill. I never wanted to feel like I was taking advantage of his service but from what I see this is how they treat all there customers.

Best of luck with your new car and drive safely.
Peter

I'm new to the forum and I had a problem with my BDR #1054. I asked around and Jay came to my rescue when no one else had what I needed. I've never met the man but hope to sometime this summer. I'd like to drive up and see the operation and personally thank him for his solution to the problem. Thanks Jay

Family business

I have never actually seen a BDR in person. Never met Jay or Brian. I was very close to purchasing a superformance. I called the guys at BDR in FL and they never followed through and basically blew me off.

I called VMS and got Jay on the phone.

I am a businessman that conducts business all over the world. Its pretty hard these days to find people that are straight up and stick to their word. My conversations with Jay have been great. His attention to detail is superb. I purchased BDR 1116 from VMS and paid for the total cost up front.

Call me crazy, but I know when I can trust someone and Jay is someone I trust. If not, Jay will meet my cousin Vinny! ;)

Incoming.... BDR 1116. Roush Supercharged Coyote, Spec Clutch, T600, 391 LSD speed hut custom gauges ...and Heated Seats!

pjmoore2003 01-29-2012 06:55 PM

1116 sounds amazing

Cashburn 01-30-2012 06:12 AM

Vinny needs to talk to MLN.

Tico 01-30-2012 09:45 AM

Please, more details about BDR 1116.

Cashburn 01-30-2012 12:42 PM

Once it gets rolling we will post on the build of 1116. We've got some exciting builds in progress and we will be happy to share as they go.

Dinobyte 02-03-2012 11:48 AM

I would buy from Vintage again...no problem.

I trust Jay...which is more than I can say about 3/4 of the people in the automotive industry.

And if something does go wrong (because things happen), Jay will make it right!

Good luck on your decision...just don't go with a small block.
