Default Change gauge lighting

I was squeezing my hand in behind the dash; I accidently knocked out one of the lights to a gauge. I noticed the bulb had a red rubber cover. Hence the red color background color of my gauges. With my car being blue I thought it would be nice if the color if the back light of the gauges were blue also. Apparently you can order different colors of “diffusers” at a very reasonable price. I Here are the before and after shots. I only changed out one side of the tack and speed odometer for a nice effect.

Yeah, they're called bulb condoms.

You can also replace the bulb with LEDs in any color for even better effect.

Would there be interest in having a gauges flash like a shift light?

Cool touch! I've wondered about that myself. '68..where did you order the bulb covers?

If you go with Led's, where do you source them? And are they plug-n-play?

I switched to LEDs in my gauges last year - bought them from superbrightleds.com. I stayed with red, but there are other colors available. You'll need 9 of them - they are plug and play.

Did you purchase the 90° or 120° beam angle?

120 - wider the better so you don't have bright spots
