Default Easier Clutch effort

Expecting my first BDR Cobra to arrive shortly. This will be my first Cobra, so let me get out front by saying that my experience to date has been with modern cars (Lamborghini, Porsche, etc). When I test drove the BDR (outfitted with a Coyote 5.0), I was surprised how heavy the clutch was to cars with equal or greater HP/Torque. I've even driven a new Mustang GT which uses the same motor and the clutch pressure on it was very light.

Anyone know why the clutch is so heavy on the BDR? Any suggestions on how to make it lighter. I'll be driving a lot on local (stop and go) roads and would like to keep my my calf muscles of equal size

Where did you drive the car? What clutch, pressure plate, and slave setup did it have?

Have the dealer check it out for you. If found normal, do a few squats or leg presses. You'll be fine.

You think the clutch is tough... don't forget some forearm curls for the steering.

It's part of the experience!

It's often a function of master cylinder size. I usually aim for around 3/4". If larger than that, you can experience a heavy pedal, depending on the pressure plate.

Backdraft is 3/4" stock. It's the clutch kit used and fork setup.

Yes. I'm told its due the heavy duty clutch installed in order to prevent clutch failure during aggressive launches.
