Draining fuel tank.
On my chassis 874, a strong strong coil stops a siphon hose and the drain plug turns the wrong way and sprays like an inverted lawn sprinkler.
Finally I disconnected a hose and it worked beautifully. I hope you all had a good laugh. I did

I don't understand the problem, either. However, I would like to know if I should understand as I have a fuel leak at the top of my gas tank at the location of the gas level sending unit and need to seal the leak. I thought that I just needed to run the gas level down so that the tank supports can be loosened to tip the tank and have at the seal for the level sending unit...or, am I in for a surprise?

I was draining some stale fuel with a firefighter friend. We had a good laugh at coil in filler neck. We then procede to what appeared to be a drain plug that baptized us wih gasoline.
Finally, we got car on a lift and disconnected hose. Sorry, there is no video. Do NOT try this at home.

A couple of days ago, we burned 1/2 tank of my ethanol free 93. We used 5th for a while and a 70 mph, the tach was close to 1700.
It has an open 3.46 diff gear. Did not lug engine; we like 3000 rpm in 3rd in traffic.
NO LEAKS
