I have #832 and have copied the slave mounting bracket supplied for the Tremec TKO 600 with a quick time bell housing. I had it manufactured using 4130 aircraft steel. This bracket coupled with a adjustable rod supplied by Rosehill Performance Parts gave me the support and improved the shifting tremendous. The original bracket is too week and moves when the clutch peddle is depressed.

Jim,
When we reordered our brackets we stepped them up in thickness and material so they should perform like your enhanced bracket.

Then put a positive on it and send him something to review, what do you have to loose? You may have everything to gain if your products are worth it.

Any business relationship we had ended years ago and their wont be any forthcoming in the future.
Nice to see your professionalism is still there as a Backdraft dealer and representative of the brand though.....

While changing the fluid in the clutch slave cylinder as advised by Backdraft to do on a regular basis I found the slave cylinder bracket moved as mush as 1/8". I was told this was normal and would not effect the shifting. After discussing this with a number of other mechanics this is not correct in anyway. I removed the 3/16" bracket on the car and had a shop manufacture a 1/4" 4130 aircraft steel bracket. Now the bracket does not move and adding an adjustable rod from Rose Hill Performance Parts the push rod is adjusted correctly and the trany shifts far better than before.

Slave Cylinder

While changing the fluid in the slave cylinder recommended by Backdraft I found the salve cylinder bracket moved 1/8" or more while depressing the clutch. I discussed this with Backdraft and was told it war normal. I discussed this with a number of mechanics and transmission people and was told this was not the case. I had a local shop copy the bracket using 4130 aircraft steel. I purchased from Rose Hill Performance Parts their adjustable shift rod and installed it. Now my tranny shifts correctly. The engine is a Ford 427 with Quick Time bell housing and a TKO 600. :)

No drill mirrors! Awesome! I have an earlier BDR - car# 131 here in Orlando,FL and I have no mirrors! Well I have 1 mirror but was scared to drill holes so it's still in the box.
Also the armrest shields and wind visors. Mine is silver with charcoal stripes.

Thanks!

Here's the first prototype grill on a car...

Cashburn 10-09-2014 01:01 PM

I have 2 more prototype grills. On the orange car above we made it work with an oil cooler but that required modification to the oil cooler and shroud. If someone would like to try these other prototype 1 grills they work fine if you do not have an oil cooler already installed.

We will make revisions in the next round to work better with an existing oil cooler.

Let me know when you make the modifications. That would look just right on my car.
