Wildwood remote reservior leak

Put a Wildwood remote clutch reservoir in last month. Noticed a large
puddle on my garage floor and traced it to a leak around the o ring at the
base of the reservoir bowl. Anybody else have this and how did you eliminate
it?
Thanks

poor design. remove top of reservoir, clean o-ring surfaces, coat o-ring with "seal all" reassemble and it will never leak again. seal all is impervious to brake fluid.

I've used quite a few Wilwood M/Cs with the plastic res. and have never had a leak there. Was the plastic neck heated before it was installed on the M/C? Is the clamp in place and tight? If it was forced onto the M/C without heating maybe the o-ring got mangled? Just seems weird man.

I agree, poor design

I have several of them on the back shelf that leaked.

I changed the ones in my GT 40 to metal ones because of leaks..

All three of mine leaked. It seems to be a very common problem. I threw them in the trash and used CNC ones from Forte.

The wire clamp that comes with the reservior can cut or crack the plastic neck. I swapped the wire clamp with a hose clamp when I replaced the reservior on my M/C.

If the "O" ring gets "nicked" while installing reservoir or if the clamp is over tightened this can happen. Mine have been on a LONG time with no issues? Just saying......

I took a look at the Forte master cylinder. Not sure how one would mount this is in a Backdraft car unless they have one not on their web site. I am looking for a metal one to use with the Wilwood clutch cylinder using a remote reservoir to use AN 4 stainless line. I have looked at several but not sure which to purchase yet.

Agreed...

Used All Seal as was suggested here with a new o ring. Problem solved....no more
fluid seeping out.
