Backdraft Ride height
What is the recommended ride height for a backdraft cobra with 17 inch wheels measured from the ground to the fender well lip. are all 4 the same?

That would all depend on the tires you are running... Mudders are taller than 30 series tires.....

I was told by the good guys in Boyton Beach that a couple of finger widths above the tire is adequate. Hope this helps.

It's really got to do with the spring rates, not really the tires...
RH should be measured from the frames rails to the ground on a flat, level surface. Factors such as fuel, driver, etc. need to be compensated for when checking. If you don't rub your tires on the body, which I doubt, and you want to level the car, that's the way to set it. You don't know how level that body is on the car. The fronts are easy, rears are a biatch. These cars have pretty much the correct springs for street driving, so don't sweat it too much. |
