Vintage Motorsports VMS 427 Turkey Pan

Does anyone with this engine in their BDR know who makes the Turkey Pan that comes on it. Im not sure if its an inhouse production or another vendor. It looks to easily clear the dizzy which seems to be an issue with the other ones offered online as they are made for BBs.

Thanks,
ASO544

Manufacturer has stopped producing them. We are currently designing our own and finalized design last week. Just waiting on parts from water jet.

Will you be selling them to individuals ? Any guesstimation on price and the finish u will offer?

Thanks,
AKM

They will be available yes. The price will be in line with what they cost us to produce (not cheap and not easy). Most likely we will offer them as a package that will include the air cleaner, gaskets, etc. For finishes we will offer bare or powdercoated (chrome powder is one option). Do not want to get into polishing them.

Keep us posted ! Looks and sounds interesting. If you're looking for interest I would seriously consider one.....

Cashburn,

Notice VMS has tow hooks as well . I looked on your site but didn't see them listed. Can you advise if they are available to purchase, the cost, and do they mount to existing bolts or does it require making mounting points?

Also, any time frame on the VMS Turkey Pans?

Thanks!!!

We are getting closer on all this. Thanks for being patient. The extra time is to ensure we are 100% happy with the product so you will be too.

Tow Hooks only require drilling 2 holes in your existing front tie down. We are waiting on a few from the powdercoaters now. We will stock them bare so you can coat any color you prefer and in Red.

I spoke with Jay today and they are still working on this. From what I understand, it will be offered through Vintage Motorsports. I am just waiting for them to finish it up so I can pick one up.

I spoke with Jay as well and he hoped they were close to the final product. I also ordered a tow hook which he did have in stock... It's a solid and quality piece!!!

Cashburn 02-04-2016 01:40 PM

Our final base design arrives tomorrow. We had a layout finalized and then realized with another change we could simplify the install and accommodate owners who had their installs (engines) done by other shops and may have used different parts. Also changed to a tighter fitting trim after some user feedback.

We will sell them over the counter without the \\V logo on the front (reserved for our engine setups).

Thanks

Will your tow hooks fit a Shelby Continuation Cobra?Any mods needed?

Bernica 02-04-2016 05:48 PM

With Cashburn's product, all you need is a nice drop-base air cleaner base to allow for a bigger air cleaner in the turkey pan! I happen to know where they exist.

I don't think they would work. The differences in the frame designs and how the bodies are mounted/located.

Our design mates up directly with the tie down hook standard on the BDR and it closely hugs under the body and up to reduce any impact on ground clearance.

ready for this setup and a tow hook. #shutupandtakemymoney

ASO544 02-17-2016 09:58 AM

Here is the tow hook I got from VMS......solid and quality piece.

I off set the angle on mine slightly as I felt it looked better a hair higher. That's why the tow hook holes aren't 100% lined up but that was my choice .
