No problem, Ozzie. Kevin is indeed correct, it is the proprietary pan of the Lexus engine... The engine will hopefully be fired up today or tomorrow and I will try to post a video- or soundclip of it...

I remember the days of checking the photo gallery on my builders site each and everyday. When I got up and after work lol. It seemed like it took forever but man was it worth the wait. Now I just need the snow to go away. Congrats.

Correct steering wheel now fitted and tonneau cover clips installed. Not the final brown leather seats yet. These will be fitted the day I take delivery of the car...!

If all goes well, I will take delivery of this beauty on Thursday, 25 January 2018! It is a moment I have been dreaming about for 25 years...

It’s really cool to see a Lexus motor in one of these builds. What led you to this choice for the powerplant? I am really curious to see a video when you get it. Congratulations on a unique build.

Thank you! The main reason being affordability. The cost of a proper rebuilt American V8 with a new/refurbished gearbox in South Africa is huge. I am saving up for a proper 351W in the meantime. The Lexus is therefore to be considered a temporary install...

Video of first dyno run today. About 330bhp at the rear wheels. Sorry for poor sound quality, the phone used for the clip, struggled to cope with the sound levels!

Looks like Duncan is enjoying the Dyno at the BDR factory...

I saw your car in real-life at the factory last Monday, it is gorgious, and you'll probably enjoy those 330 ponies too!

Enjoy the pick-up tomorrow, and say hello to John and Duncan for me (Jasper).

In a few months I should be finished with my build, based in Durban, maybe we'll meet on the road sometime in the future.
