help with new car

Okay got 250 miles on 211 now and the car is awesome.
Anyone have tips on the best hardware to mount the fire ext with. I want to mount it just under the dash at the forward most part of the transmission hump.

Next what type fluid for the clutch slave cylinder and how do you know it's full.

So far I've lost 4 header bolts and one valve cover nut. Farnk sent me replacements today and I fixed the problems.

Also I ordered the cobra valve covers. It appears they aren't really for this application. The grommet where the pcv valve goes is to small for the hole in the valve cover. It appears this hole was really intended for a oil filler location or spout. Any suggestions on this. I spoke with frank and he said a larger one is on the way.
I'm skeptical if this will work because the hole is not round it has two ears on opposite sides of each other.

I'm also looking for the dimensions for the cobra badges on the hood and trunk. Has anyone glued these on?

I had the same problem when installing my PCV valve. The poor guy at NAPA spent 30 minutes and found me a grommet that worked OK for $2. Look in a Ford Racing Perfomance Parts Catalog. PN M-6892-E looks like it is designed for this.
Your Cobra 2in badges can be purchased from many of the part places that advertise on this forum for $15-16ea. These are installed by two mounting pins and retainers. I installed mine by:
Applied masking tape (to prevent chips)
Drilled pilot,then proper size holes
Applied clear silicone to holes
Inserted badge and retainers on the back.
I mounted my fire ext in the same location as you are looking at with stainless steel self taping screws 3/4 in long.

PS. Drilling in that New Cobra requires a beer (or two) from the resulting stress aftewards. I was pretty nervous........

Hey thanks buck! I have the trunk and hood badges from finish line. They came with two studs on the back but no retaining hardware. I'm also unsure of the exact location for these, unless it's just eyeball.

If I may? Do NOT drill that new Cobra body to install the badges! Better to cut/ grind, the pins off.

Use a quality 'double faced' autmotive tape instead. If the body is cold, pre-heat with a hair dryer.

'double faced" auto tape does sound like a better way of mounting these.
This job still requires a couple of cold ones....

I also mounted my fire extinguisher in the same location that you are by using 3/4 inch self-tapping stainless screws. For the badges I ground off the pins using a dremel tool and then mounted using 3M double sided tape that I found at Home Depot. For the badge location I looked at lots of pictures, found the left/right center on the front and rear and then eyeballed into place.
