Question Coil Over Shocks - BRAND?

Anyone have the part numbers or brand for the coilover shocks some folks are using?

My rear continues to bottom out under hard acceleration even with the new springs Reg sent.... I want to add the coil overs to help with this...

When the rear does bottom out I get an additional vibration in the drivetrain anyone else have a similar situation, I am thinking possibly the CV joints are at max bend or something strange as the vibration doesn't happen unless the rear suspension is squated...or drive shaft possibly? any clues ?

$5 says that when the rear is bottomed out, your driveshaft is rubbing the driveshaft safety loop (if your car has one). If you don't have a safety loop, get one real fast in case the vibration is from the shaft. You certainly don't want to have the driveshaft let go without a safety loop in place.

brainbugnj,

I wish I could help you with the part numbers, but I have never seen them listed anywhere. You might ask Armond if he knows. I am running the original springs and when I started to bottom out, I adjusted the rear suspension up a bit and no problem since. You might try suspension adjustment first. I am sure someday my springs will sag (true about most old things!) and I will need new ones. I just hope it is not soon.

It's about time the Backdraft owners in San Diego go on a cruise. Did you get an e-mail from Hank about a run this coming Saturday? I can't go, my car is still in the paint shop at Armonds!
