As I have re-read all of cbreez posts, I have realized I will no longer waste my time reading his post. They are not helpful and I generally don't like the guy or his opinion.
cbrees- do you still have a kit car that pertains to this forum or are you just here to spread filth and your general dislike for BDR's. If not, do us a favor and go away. And if you do still own it, go away and sell it.

I too am interested in what car you have. Searching on your previous posts I see you were looking to buy a Backdraft, but no where does it appear you bought a cobra of any make. If Backdrafts are so bad, in your opinion, or if you don't even own one, why waste all your time (and ours) in this forum?

Most people who buy a vehicle like this (any replica) understands they're not getting a mass-produced car.

Problems WILL happen, things WILL break and the manufacturers (and lucky for us dealers and owners as well) will continue to make improvements and let others know so they can benefit as well.

BDR doesn't have to make rolling changes to their product - they choose to.

They don't have to test different prototypes, etc on the track - they choose to.

The dealers don't have to tell us about these improvements - and don't get paid for the time they spend keeping us informed and helping us when things go wrong - they choose to - especially the guys that aren't their past customers.

Search on Jay's previous posts and see how much he has contributed to our hobby (not yours if you don't own one) - most before he even started the online store. It's not always about the money aspect - it's the passion for what they do.

Sorry for the rough jabs... but this complainer has just about stretched everyone too far. His only contribution has been contradiction. I did not offer to sell a part that has not been tested fully and is due some revision (and is the reason it is not offered in our online store, maybe theirs but not ours) ... simply offered an example of a development in the pipeline.

Let us get back to fixing and having fun on our cars. Cussing some one out is not a solution but a problem, we all have differences.

oh my...such hate! Sorry boys and girls, I will not apologize for my opinions...those FEW that disagree with me, too bad. If you accept and make excuses for substandard workmanship be happy with it! Poor quality bothers me though...It keeps coming up in this forum...not brought up by me ever, originally...always new people discovering the same problems. Nothing wrong with trying to get b/d to correct THEIR defects...is that sooooo bad? They should be doing all they can for their owners.
Jaybird, you such such utter lack of class with your attitude and language if someone happens to disagree with you...you certainly prove that you aren't the mechanical be-all end-all! People, I am SURE this guy will be out of business in 2 years or less...good ridance! Jaybird feels this is HIS forum only, no one better ever disagree!
RWilly I have better things to do than go back and read your posts, but I haven't seen much intelligence there, FYI.
I have been a contributor to this forum with good, sound mechanical fixes and free thinking ideas... my build number is of no consequense to anyone...I do have one though. People, these a just cars...keep a perspective on what they are and who sells them to us over eager enthusiasts, and the difference with their incentive to profit, and ours to have fun. Just because b/d says it's a cobra, doesn't make everything all right.

Translation....I'm an whining idiot who hides behind a computer who doesn't even own a cobra. I'll say it again....if BDR's are so bad in your opinion, don't buy one and don't hang out in a BDR forum.

If, in all unlikelyhood, you actually do own a BDR, please do us all a favor (including yourself) and sell it...

Cashburn 09-14-2007 08:24 AM

Ahhh... welcome back Club Cobra and welcome back Cbeetch... ever the contributor to the advancement of BDRs around the world.

When you bleed your brakes you should also bleed your clutch.

For track guys everytime you do an event and sometimes during an event.

For street guys at least once a year.

It's called preventive maintenance.

If you don't know how to do it any brake shop can do it for you.

Tite engine compartments and the close proximity of the slave to the headers will overheat the fluid and when it cools down moisture forms.
Much cheaper to bleed than complain about faulty parts from well known manufacturers.

Yet another useless post...believing that a place of residence actually has any indication of intelligence...the wealth of knowledge never ends with this guy....

Let me guess...your next bash on BDR will be that their front tires don't match the size of their rear tires...or your blinker fluid in your "cobra" needs to be replaced too often...
