Fuel pump location

I need help in finding a good location for a BIG fuel pump (Aeromotive 1000- it ~7" long and 4" diameter). There is the space between the diff and the fuel tank. It barely fits (without a mounting plate- I think I can get a 1/8" plate in there also) but I'm not sure if this is the best place. Anyone have any ideas of a different location?
