Much like the pic in my earlier post above. I left it barely snug as to not restrict the vibration and torquing movements it gets subjected to but to reinforce only.

I use hose clamps on mine, also. However, I did this after the metal tangs on both mufflers broke from fatigue vibration stress and noticed that the rubber grommets were about to tear loose. I had the metal muffler tangs repaired with reinforcement pieces welded at the mufflers. OK so far after about 5k miles.

I talked with AP exhaust products. The AP part #8511 is the same as Backdraft uses. I ordered 4 from summit. They called AP Exhaust Products and had them drop shipped to me as they don't sell retail. They are really cheap. Summit part # 8511 is not correct in their catalog.

I got 4 of the correct rubber hangers from summitt. They had them drop shipped from AP Exhaust Products. The part # from AP #8511 is the correct number.
