Default FFR shifter Lever in a BDR

Got a FFR shifter lever and tried it out. Now my elbow doesn't hit the shifter in fourth gear! Woohoo! And for those FFR owners who know...it's an odd feeling shifting with this lever. Really funky! but I like it! And before anybody asks I tried the FFR boot on the lever but it doesn't fit the ring BDR gives you. And yes it its tight. But the BDR boot fits fine and doesn't get all bunched up in third. (Haven't road tested it yet. My opinion may change.)

Sid,
Was the shift knob a direct swap? I've gotta a few orders to make, that shifter looks interesting.

Mine always felt like it was to high and kept getting in my way when steering. 3rd and 4th gears cruising was a pain. We shall see how this works out. 2nd to 3rd gear shift feel faster and shorter.

I thought of cutting the shaft down a bit just for that reason, but ive learned to adapt. Not sure if I'll do anything with the shifter or not. I find in a slower application around town, 2nd gear is tough too

Default Shifter Lever

I have the Finish Line shifter for the T5. It seems too long and gets in the way when down shifting and turning. The Tri-State shifter is shorter and looks good. The Finish Line shifter has more beef at the base. But, I'm ordering a Tri-State shifter.

The Tri-States comes with two different threads: Mustangs shifter knobs or FFR shifter knobs. So, what thread is on my current Finish Line knob?

Thanks for the picture.
Did the shift knob on the original Backdraft shifter fit or did you have to buy a new shift knob?

that's a new knob - tri state provided it. I bought a few aftermarket knobs that fit also - it's a 3/8" x 24 pitch thread. you should confirm that size with tri-state - mine's 3 years old
