Hi Bryn,
Thanks for the invite. When things warm up a bit I will certainly take you up on the offer of an accompanied run through to Akaroa. Could you PM me you contact details. I did the run through to chch feb this year. Had to take my watch in for repairs and chch has the only S/island service agent. I left nelson at 6.45 am dropped watch off in columbo st and was back in nelson by three that afternoon. Probably the only time I didn't even notice I had just driven 800 km.
Doug, the financial controller and I will try to get down south th Mckenzie country late this summer. It is the one part of the south island I have not driven through and I can't wait to get wild in the wild. ( god I hope ther are no cops reading this ). I am also yet to go over the takaka hill, just seemed to run out of time last summer. I will though make some enquiries of the mg club next time I'm looking to head south, and yes I will say g'day to your folks should I see them.
